Miniloft.com - Berlin's unique apartment hotel

Det nye hotelalternativ i Berlins centrum

  • A home away from home
"I loved it – particularly the cement floor. The light and airiness is a plus too. For me it was like a home away from home – there is not anything I would change. Great location! Very helpful staff!" — Penelope from New York, USA 25/06/2008

"Britta Jürgens, a Berlin architect who had been living in London, and Matthew Griffin, a New Zealander who had emigrated to Canada, came to live in Berlin after the fall of the Wall and ended up buying a dilapidated building in East Berlin in 1999. After five years of renovation, they made the top two floors their home and decided to innovate by renting out the rest as mini-lofts (each approximately measuring 40 square meters), available by the day. Instant success drove them to build ten new lofts in a brand new building. The building features a curved zinc prow, a sweeping side wall full of windows, and impeccable concrete ceilings. Inside, contemporary furniture, fitted kitchenettes, and bright bathrooms with glass walls provide the hotel accommodation they sought in vain during their travels around the world. The Miniloft has become home to business and independent travelers who are interested in architecture and are seeking their own Berlin pad. The complex is staffed b a mulitlingual lady during office hours, while the owners take over the rest of the time, supplying everything you need for your stay."
