Virtuelle Mauer/ReConstructing the Wall
Head back in time to a divided Berlin, with the help of some futuristic technology. Virtuelle Mauer/ReConstructing the Wall is an award-winning interactive 3D installation reproducing a linear kilometer of the Berlin Wall and its surrounding neighborhoods in East and West. Visitors use a simple joystick to walk around parts of Kreuzberg and Mitte when the Berlin Wall was still standing. Characters in the virtual world triggers incidents that take the user from the 1980s back to the 1960s and forward to the 2000s. The exhibition, at Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, runs from August 11-28. Very cool!
