You can get a cheap Döner sandwich on almost every corner of Berlin, but for a really special Turkish meal head to Hasir. A legion of diners are devotees to dishes like Beyti Hasir, delicately spiced minced lamb served on a skewer with onions, grilled tomato and pepper and flat bread (€9,50). Hasir also offers an extensive selection of tasty vegetarian options. They're so popular that they've opened six locations in Berlin, including a sumptuous one in Mitte with a garden, close to the Minilofts. After a tour of Turkish Kreuzberg (the Turkish Market, perhaps a day at Hamam – Turkish baths for women), dine at their Adalbertstrasse 10 location, by U-Bahn Kottbusser Tor.
