Head out of the city for a weekend of fresh air, music, meditation and Yoga. This June 13-16th sees the 9th annual Yoga Festival Berlin.

The packed 3-day programme includes a line-up of international guest speakers, Yoga teachers, and musicians from a range of Yoga traditions and backgrounds. The diverse and colourful range of activities on offer includes, Yantra painting, philosophy discussions, harmonium-learning, mantra singing, gong meditation and film screenings.

All this in a magical location; the Kulturpark Kladow is situated in the south west of the city by a lake that is perfect for swimming at this time of year. It’s easily connected to the city with a bus stop right at the festival entrance, and also reachable by a short ferry ride from the S-Bahn Wannsee station- you can even use your regular BVG ticket for a journey with a view.

One extra special festival highlight is the unique ‘Night Dive’ Asana experience – a dynamic, fluid Yoga session led by the competent Frauke Schroth accompanied by a live DJ set by popular Berlin DJ Ena Lind.

Rather stay in the city? Check the website for a list of workshops taking place centrally over the same weekend, in conjunction with the festival.

Tickets are available online at www.yogafestival.de and at a range of locations in Berlin, including Home Yoga, the Mondlicht book store and the Sonatar Yoga shop.

Enjoy!
