For a whole day of outdoors fun and animals, Tierpark Berlin is the right place to go. On the grounds of Schloss Friedrichsfelde, over 60 hectars of grounds are home to about 8,700 animals of 120 different species.
Compared to the zoo, Tierpark Berlin offers more outdoor spaces for animals and visitors alike. You’ll find many areas that welcome visitors to take a break and have a picnic on the grass or spend some time on one of the playgrounds.
If you’re planning on going with little kids, you can access the park with strollers and balance bikes (real bikes are not allowed inside the park) or you rent one of the little handcarts. For five euros, you can keep it for an entire day.
Don’t get intimidated by the long lines on a nice day – they move quickly!

How to get there:
U5 towards Hönow, get off at Tierpark
Try to avoid going by car. Parking spaces are available but they fill up quickly and streets around Tierpark are normally pretty full of traffic
