In the heart of Berlin-Mitte, the buildings on Torstrasse display the city’s development pretty clearly in the different architectural styles that you can find there. On its west end, Torstrasse starts where is crosses Friedrichstrasse and ends at Prenzlauer Allee close to Alexanderplatz in the east. In between you can find lots of art galleries featuring contemporary art in old buildings from the 1920s and modern buildings with restaurants and the typical Berlin Spätshops - little stores where you can buy basically everything you can imagine and that are open late into the night and on weekends.

You’ll find middle eastern food right next to the new and hip sushi restaurant, and the upcycling fashion popup next to the established fashion store.

Even late at night Torstrasse remains one of the more frequented streets. With a variety of clubs and bars the street stays busy all through the night.

From Miniloft Apartment Hotel in Mitte it is just a short walk down the street and you’re right there at the beginning of Torstrasse.

From Miniloft Kreuzberg you can either take the U-Bahn up to Oranienburger Tor or take a longer stroll past Checkpoint Charlie and all the way up Friedrichstrasse until you reach the intersection Torstrasse.
